Redmi Note 9 Pro Max gets April 2020 Android security patch with update

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max has received a new software update. This update brings with it the Android security patch of April 2020. Remember that the Redmi Note 9 Pro smartphone was launched in India in March 2020. Its first sale after a long time was held only last week. At the time of launch, this phone of Redmi had a March Android security patch. Now it has started receiving the April Security Patch with the update, which cannot be considered the latest security update. On the other hand, some companies like Realme, who have given a strong challenge to Xiaomi in the market, have also introduced the May 2020 security patch for their affordable smartphones.


The next sale of the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is to start from next week.

Xiaomi has rolled out the new software update firmware version MIUI v11.0.2.0.QJXINXM for the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max smartphone. Not much information about this update has been given in the changelog shared by the company. However, the company has confirmed that this update has come with the April 2020 Android Security Patch. The size of this update is 338 MB.

The 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is priced at Rs 16,499, while its 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model costs 17,999 and the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option costs 19,999.

Dual SIM Redmi Note 9 Pro Max runs on MIUI 11 based on Android 10. It has a 6.67-inch full-HD + (1080x2400 pixels) IPS display, with a 20: 9 aspect ratio. The phone has triple Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. This protection is also available on the front and rear panels of the phone as well as rear cameras. The smartphone has 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor.

There is a fingerprint sensor on the side of the phone. The battery is 5,020 mAh and it supports 30 W fast charging.
